Practice Areas

Regulatory Litigation

Our Regulatory Litigation practice involves proceedings before state and federal agencies; including compliance filings, enforcement proceedings, investigations, complaint proceedings, certificate applications, rate proceedings, rulemakings, industry-wide investigations, and appeals arising from such proceedings. Our lawyers have extensive experience in representing parties before the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), and in representing parties to appeals arising from proceedings before the CPUC.

Friedman & Springwater LLP is well equipped to handle regulatory proceedings before state and federal agencies relating to power and water systems, as well as transportation and telecommunications matters and environmental issues related to regulatory matters. We also have in-depth experience in matters such as renewable energy, climate change, pipeline, rail and highway transportation, broadband, “green” water systems, desalination, and energy and water conservation.  Our attorneys are experienced in both drafting agreements for the purchase of water and renewable energy and obtaining approval of such agreements by the CPUC.
